Can you supply a magneto without the old core?
Not at the moment as we only have a limited amount of magneto old core and the number of different types of magnetos are quite varied so we currently repair and restore on a bespoke service.
Is it better to go for an electronic ignition system?
There are electronic ignition systems available, however a restored magneto with a new coil and modern capacitor will be very reliable. Unlike an electronic ignition system the magneto is not dependent on the charging system of the vehicle because the magnetism used to generate the magnetic field comes from a permanent magnet. The magneto is independent of the battery and as long as it spins it will continue to fire.
On aircraft, legislation requires the use of magnetos for this reason. If there is a problem with the electrical system, the engine will continue to work.

Can I bring my magneto in person?
Yes. We have a trade counter in our factory. Please note if you only want your unit repaired, we may not be able to give you an en estimate there and then as our engineers are unlikely to be able to start on it immediately.
How long will my magneto take to be repaired or restored?
As we manufacture most parts in-house we can usually turn around a unit inside five to ten working days.
Can I pay by cheque?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal and cash. We can accept a cheque but we cannot release the goods until the cheque has cleared.
Will you supply the trade?
Yes. We regularly supply trade customers.
